Suzi Howe, a 34‑year member of the Rotary Club of Space Center Houston, is known for her servant’s heart, her ability to elevate others, and her unwavering commitment to changing lives through Rotary. She has held numerous leadership roles — including Rotary International Director, Training Leader, Foundation Coordinator, and Vice‑Chair of the End Polio Now Countdown to History Campaign — while mentoring countless Rotarians across multiple regions. Suzi is a recipient of Rotary’s highest honors, earning the Service Above Self Award, the Certificate for Meritorious Service, and the Distinguished Service Award. Together with her husband Bill, she continues to strengthen and inspire Rotary from Canada through Central America, championing diversity, inclusion, and the Rotary Foundation as proud members of the Arch Klumph Society. |

I began my Rotary journey 40 years ago in Decatur, Alabama, and it ultimately led me to serve as President of Rotary International. Gay and I traveled the world meeting inspiring Rotarians and witnessing Rotary’s impact firsthand — from medical missions in Zimbabwe to youth leadership in Harare. Even as COVID‑19 reshaped our year, the Rotary family showed resilience, compassion, and the true spirit of aloha. Our shared journey was transformational, and we will always treasure the year Rotary Connected the World.
