Dan Leal was our speaker this week and he shared the mission of the Seedling mentoring program.  Children of incarcerated parents are at great risk and Seedling Mentor program provides opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child.  Hopefully some Rotary members will become mentors.

December 1st, 6:00 PM our Holiday Party on zoom and we will have Jill Gonzalez, with Women's Storybook Project of Texas which provides opportunities for incarcerated mothers to read & record books to be given to their children so they can hear their mother's voice.  In the spirit of the season we will at our Christmas Party have an opportunity to give books to these children.
Please come to our Rotary Holiday Around the World Party December 1, with the
4-Way Test in Mind:
First: Dress up in your Christmas sweater, Santa hat, International Dress or anything to make it special.
Second: Have an international meal to eat. Take out or home prepared are both ok.  Rotary is an international organization so let's celebrate Around the World
Third:  Entertain us with a song, poem, story of a Christmas memory, dance, or bring a friend or grandchild to do a song or dance.
Fourth: Plan to have fun!

Your Rotary Program:
For your weekly Rotary Program may I suggest a book or movie: "Just Mercy, a Story of Justice and Redemption" by Bryan Stevenson. The movie "Just Mercy" can be seen on Amazon Prime, YouTube and Hulu.  As we look at opportunities to help children of incarcerated parents, this book  deals with some of the problems of incarceration in a powerful way.
