My journey as the incoming President of the Rotary E-Club of Central Texas began not with a meeting or a ceremony, but with a mission. One of my first official tasks was delivering much-needed school supplies to the students of Miguel F. Martinez Matutina in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
This heartfelt project reminded me of what Rotary is truly about—service, connection, and impact. I’m incredibly grateful to Joan and Kent Bohls for their unwavering support and to Norma Rivera, the dedicated principal of the school, whose warm welcome made this delivery all the more meaningful.
With backpacks full of supplies and hearts full of purpose, this experience set the tone for the year ahead. It's a powerful reminder that no matter where we are, Rotarians are united by a shared commitment to making lives better—one act of service at a time.
