Welcome to the Flexible, Friendly, Fun Rotary Family -
Rotary E-Club of Central Texas
Rotarian of The Month
 Ashley Rodriguez
Ashley Hermes Rodriguez was born and raised in Yoakum, Texas. It was at Yoakum High School that she joined the Interact Club in 2001 and her journey with Rotary began! Through the support of the Yoakum Rotary Club she attended RYLA in the Rough in 2004 and she spent the next 11 years on staff with the last 5 as Program Director. Ashley attended Texas A&M University and was an active member of Aggie Rotaract Club and served as president for 2 years. While in college the Yoakum Rotary Club sponsored her Rotaract Club service trip to Belize in 2008 and then sponsored her application for the Ambassadorial Scholarship in 2009. Ashley received the Ambassadorial Scholarship and was sent to Hong Kong where she spent the year obtaining her Masters in Public Health at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and visiting and serving with Rotary clubs in District 3450. During the 2009-2010 year aboard Ashley traveled to 5 countries in Asia for Rotary service including a National Immunization Day in India in 2010. Upon returning from travels the Yoakum Rotary Club took another chance on Ashley and gifted her first Paul Harris and sponsored her membership for 2 years while she continued to pursue grad school at Washington University in St. Louis. After obtaining her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2012, Ashley returned to Yoakum to start her career. Ashley was a charter member of the Rotary e-Club of Central Texas in 2015 and served as president in 2017-2018 and again in 2019 for half a term. Ashley has served as District 5870 Youth Services Coordinator since 2019. Ashley's most recent Rotary title is "First Lady" as her husband Jon Eric serves as the President of the Cuero Rotary Club this year! Ashley's life has been blessed beyond measure by the numerous opportunities Rotary has granted her over the years. She is passionate about investing in our youth and "paying it forward" so that others can experience the friendship, mentorship, and servant leadership that Rotary offers. Ashley is a Rotarian today because of the Rotarians that invested in her all along the way and she is forever grateful.

Ashley currently lives in Cuero, Texas with her husband Jon Eric and daughters, Flora and Roni. Jon Eric is a sales associate at Weber Motor Company, a local Ford dealership and is active in Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. They are active members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and they enjoy serving in their community as a family. Ashley is the Director of Rehabilitation at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Victoria and is also a Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner. As a busy family they try to soak up any quality time with their family..

Better Friendship
One of the challenges of an E-Club and of the pandemic is building better friendships.  So the goal of Rotarian of the Month is to know each other better.   When you are named please forward me a picture and lots of information about you- like where you grew up, family, schools, career, hobies, Rotary service.  We want to get to know each other.  We would also like for you to do a "classification talk" at our monthly zoom meeting.  Let's keep working towards getting to know each other better.
